Texaco released the 4th ERTL bank, "1918 Ford Runabout" Metal Diecast Truck in 1988. It features a locking coin bank with key! It is also a bank where the key is molded to a small panel that can be removed from under the bed of the truck to retrieve coins from the tanker storage compartment. This metal diecast bank toy was originally priced at $13.99 with a production run of 180,000 pieces Stock #9740VO.

 

This is a replica of a 1918 Ford Runabout. And these have been released on a yearly basis since this model was introduced as a promotion for kids and adult collectors at local Texaco gas stations. These toys are well made and very colorful as well as detailed. This 1918 Ford Runabout is reminiscent of an old time delivery truck during the twenties. This will make a great addition to any Collection.
