The 2004 Hess truck celebrates forty years of Hess toy collecting. This edition features a first with two sport motorcycles that are stored inside the sport utility vehicle. These motorcycles are well balanced and have great roll-ability across flat surfaces from their friction motors. They feature working lights that can be switched on from the right handlebar. The sport utility has a push button located on the roof to release the tailgate. And in typical Hess fashion there is lots of chrome like the chromed bumpers, the front grille and running boards, a tinted windshield, a sunroof, a rear spoiler and all terrain tires. This truck had a production of 1,600,000 units and was originally retailed for $19.99 at participating locations.
