This is the second RV or recreation van type vehicle in the Hess toy line up. The first Hess RV appeared in 1980 called the Hess Training Van. While the 1998 is not identical it’s clear that it was based off of this model. The original RV was a representation of the Hess training van but the 1998 version features two additional toys, a motorcycle and a dune buggy! These two friction-powered vehicles having working lights making them very cool. This is a first for the motorcycle as an additional toy and it can actually do wheelies. The dune buggy is snazzy with its chrome bumpers and molded interior for accents. This recreation van features two access doors, one for the motorcycle and the other for the dune buggy. There are windows which showcases these vehicles when parked inside. This truck had a production of 1,600,000 units and was originally retailed for $16.99 at participating locations.
