The
1985 First Hess Truck Bank was the eighteenth Hess toy in what became an American tradition. Find info, pictures and Hess truck banks for sale on a daily basis here. This appears to be a reissue of the 1982-1983 First Hess truck but converted into a bank. The coin slot opening is located on the top of the tanker; it’s in the center and can be accessed by turning the knob. This truck had a production of 500,000 units and was originally retailed for $3.99 at participating locations. Interestingly this unit sold for $1 less than the model from the year before.
